Truly one of its kind, a sneaker that is fully innovative in nature -  the Shunya Wooler is 100% leather-free, 99% plastic-free, and wool-full – of course!

Materials - 

• Upper: 100% Burel Wool from Swiss Blacknose (white version) or Portuguese Sheep (black version) ethically sourced MIRUM® a plant-based leather-like material containing no synthetics or plastic components
• Inner Lining: 100% Wool Burel
• Strobel Material: Eucalyptus Tencel™ fiber PLA of vegetable origin, 100% biodegradable and FSC-certified
• Padding: 100% Wool felted
• Sewing thread: Lyocell Tencel™ 
• Reinforcement: Cotton OEKO-TEX® Natural latex
• Adhesive: Water based synthetic glue (where lie the residual 1% plastic of our 99% plastic-free sneaker)
• Insole: Sisal fiber Natural latex foam 100% Burel felted Wool
• Laces: 30% Cotton OEKO-TEX® 70% Natural latex elastic
• Sole: PLIANT® 100% biobased from natural rubber with plant and mineral pigments.

Quality - Developed after two years of research and development in collaboration with sustainable shoe design pioneer Sven Segal and Baabuk's network of suppliers. Produced in Portugal.

Care - We recommend hand washing with natural soaps. If using a washing machine, choose a gentle cycle at 30°C with only natural soap (no detergents or chemicals). Remove the insole before washing. Air dry.

Because there is no plastic in our laces, resizing them can be a bit challenging - therefore if you want to shorten the laces, be aware it will fray after being cut. You can also add a drop of transparent Nail polish or glue at the tip to stop the fray.
